Nightly Strip Rides, Las VegasI've become a little obsessed with Polaroids lately. I just signed up for the Cliche-Verre and Mordancage workshop on February 18 & 19 at the Photographic Center Northwest. It's the first class or workshop I've tried there so I'm pretty excited. It sounds really interesting and something that I've never tried before. I thought it would be good to start meeting more photographers around Seattle as well. Just settling in now after moving at the beginning of September from San Francisco to Seattle. So far, it's great to be here (I grew up here). Our new place has the most wall space I've ever had in a house, so just yesterday Jay & I hung all our art. I have real "gallery" type space downstairs for my "Living Machines" photo series. Went to the Fillmore Jazz Festival yesterday. Besides enjoying the music and crowds! also saw about 15 booths of photographs by various photographers. I had no idea there would be so many there. Some of note include Chris Honeysett (who I've me before; he does beautiful b&w landscapes and still lifes); Alan Babbitt (who had some fun images of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk which I appreciated);

Just ran across this site Sent - where they have photos from phonecams around the world (you can submit your own). They're having a show in LA in July. Looks pretty interesting. Piha Beach, New Zealand May 19, 2004 I just got home last week from a 10-day trip to New Zealand. It is an incredible country with beautiful beaches. I haven't developed my black & white photos yet, but here is one of my digitals from my first day there at Piha Beach right outside Auckland.

We had a successful opening reception last night at the Focus Gallery here in San Francisco—at least a couple hundred people showed up. Thanks to all who came! You can still check out our work there at Focus (2423 Polk @ Union) through the end of May.

I just got back the pinhole photos that I took (last summer!) in a workshop. I'm posting one here. It was kind of fun to see them again after so long - makes me want to try pinhole photography again.
